Delete your OrderOnline account

Last updated: 13 October 2026

How to delete your OrderOnline account – the app for iOS and Android, the backoffice and the staff page – and what happens to your data. OrderOnline is provided by Magnus Heide AS, org. no. 932 761 173.

Delete your account in the app

  • Employee: open the OrderOnline app, go to Me › Settings and tap "Delete account". Confirm in the window that appears.
  • Restaurant owner or administrator: open the OrderOnline app, go to More and tap "Delete account" below "Sign out". Confirm in the window that appears.

Delete your account without the app

  • Employee: sign in at orderonline.no/ansatt, go to Me › Settings and tap "Delete account".
  • Restaurant owner or administrator: sign in at orderonline.no/login, go to Settings and click "Delete account" at the bottom of the page.
  • Can't sign in? Email hei@orderonline.no from the address linked to your account, or give the phone number you sign in with, and say you want your account deleted. We confirm who you are and delete it within 30 days.

Deleted at once

  • Your sign-in (the email, phone number and password you sign in with).
  • The devices you're signed in on, and notifications (push) to them.
  • The invitations and access the account has to restaurants.
  • For restaurant owners: the restaurant closes, its website and ordering go offline, the subscription is cancelled and the staff lose access.

Deleted later

  • For restaurant owners: the rest of the restaurant's data – menu, orders, employees, shifts, messages and forms – is deleted within 30 days.
  • For employees: messages, form answers with photos, cases, warnings and appeals are deleted after the retention period your employer has chosen (24 months by default).

Kept

  • Invoices and accounting records are kept as long as accounting law requires, normally 5 years.
  • For employees: your employer keeps the records about you as an employee – including timesheets, pay, employment contract and absence – because the law requires them to. Your employer is responsible for these records and deletes them when that obligation ends.
